Booster Club crab feed raises $10,000 for sports
The LHS Booster Club raised about $10,000 at the fourth annual crab feed at the Vinton Grange Hall on Mar. 27. This popular event has brought widespread support from the community for Loyalton High School sports and extracurricular activities in a time of financial trouble, when the school district has had to limit its funding of school athletics and other programs. The Sierra Valley community turned out in mass for the sold-out event and gave generously to support Loyalton students.
After dinner the raffle baskets generously donated by Loyalton High School students were auctioned. Many others in the community, including the following, gave items for the raffles and live auction: Helen Roberti, Bi-State Propane, Sierra Valley Home Center, Roberti Ranch, Hair Faire, Steve Goicoechea, Bar One Ranch, Jeff and Tami McCollum, Bob and Jeannie Vaum , Sierra Pacific Industries, Amerigas, Goya Vasquez, Elia Miles, Leland Cross, Sierra Valley Feed and Ranch Supply, Sierra Hot Springs, Einen and Rhonda Grandi, Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club, Dobbas Ranch, Lynn Gallagher Trucking, Bob Home, Pam Pasquetti, Dave and Jane Roberti, Kelley and Larry Goldsmith, Debbie Fairbanks, Katie Campbell, Vicki’s Blue Moon Bakery, Ralph Stock, Warren Fallat, Green Gulch Ranch, Sierra Valley Furniture, Tahoe Donner, Stacy Spoon, Melody Graves, John and Lola Owens, Bailey Torri, Charles Ervin, Rex Morrison, Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, Ken and Sharon Hagen, Paul Clifton, Le s Schwab Tires, Royce Stevens, Plumas Vet Service, Jimmie’s Roadhouse, J’s Feather River Rental, Los Dos Hermanos, Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric and Pat Ramelli.
